“Two Become One”

Many lessons can be learned from the process of making pottery. Even Scripture talks of a sovereign Creator who designs and molds His creation as a potter does the clay.

The pottery pieces in this collection are all made from two types of clay. The clays are different in color, obviously, but there are other differences in their textures and temperaments as well. As the potter blends the clays, they retain their identities, but they are mixed and melded together to form a new entity. The heat of the kiln melds them on an even stronger level. Together they form something more beautiful and stronger than they could ever be alone. You can no longer separate the clays without destroying the vessel.

And so it is with marriage…two become one. And you’re better together than apart. Stronger and more beautiful. Let the heat of life’s difficulties meld you together even stronger. The life you’ve created together can’t be separated without irreparable damage. So guard the treasure that your marriage truly is. Make it a masterpiece!
